Zoals gebruikelijk bij de uitgaven van Vollard zijn slechts drie van de dertien litho's gesigneerd door de kunstenaar. Cette lithographie de Maurice Denis est l'une des treize lithographies en couleurs qui composent la série Amour. La série, à laquelle Denis a travaillé à partir de 1892, selon son journal, a été publiée en 1899 par le marchand d'art parisien Ambroise Vollard. Comme d'habitude avec les publications de Vollard, seules trois des treize lithographies sont signées par l'artiste. This lithograph by Maurice Denis is one of thirteen colour lithographs that make up the Amour series. The series, on which Denis worked from 1892 onwards, according to his diary, was published in 1899 by the Parisian art dealer Ambroise Vollard.
