Deze erepenning werd uitgegeven ter gelegenheid van zijn viering als voorzitter van de vereniging in maart 1919. Op de voorzijde zie je een buste van De Backer, op de keerzijde een open boek en een brandende olielamp. Hector De Backer était le président de la "Société des Bibliophiles et Iconophiles de Belgique" et possédait une vaste bibliothèque contenant aussi bien des livres anciens et modernes que des manuscrits et des miniatures. Cette médaille d'honneur a été émise à l'occasion de sa célébration en tant que président de l'association en mars 1919. Sur l'avers, on voit un buste de De Backer, et sur le revers, un livre ouvert et une lampe à huile allumée. Hector De Backer was the president of the "Société des Bibliophiles et Iconophiles de Belgique" and owned an extensive library containing both old and modern books, as well as manuscripts and miniatures. This honorary medal was issued on the occasion of his celebration as president of the association in March 1919.
