Al deze medailles werden geslagen in opdracht van het Ministerie van Binnenlandse zaken van Saksen. De Duitse kunstenaar Hörnlein beeldt er een boer op af die aan het werk is op het land, met een ploeg getrokken door twee paarden. Cette médaille a été exposée au Salon de la médaille qui s'est tenu lors de l'Exposition universelle de 1910 à Bruxelles. Elle faisait partie des médailles frappées au titre des mérites des différents secteurs de l'agriculture. Toutes ces médailles ont été commandées par le ministère de l'Intérieur de Saxe. L'artiste allemand Hörnlein représente un fermier travaillant dans les champs, avec une charrue tirée par deux chevaux.
