Hij werkte als jurist op het Ministerie van Binnenlandse Zaken. Van bij de oprichting van de "Compagnie de l'Exposition de Bruxelles" vervulde hij een belangrijke rol bij het administratief en uitvoerend comité ter voorbereiding van de Wereldtentoonstelling in 1910. Uiteindelijk werd hij de regeringsvertegenwoordiger voor deze tentoonstelling. In deze functie werd hij geëerd met deze portretpenning, ontworpen door de Belgische kunstenaar Charles Samuel. Le duc Robert d'Ursel succède à son père comme maire de Hingene. Il a travaillé comme avocat au ministère de l'intérieur. Dès la création de la "Compagnie de l'Exposition de Bruxelles", il joue un rôle important dans le comité administratif et exécutif qui prépare l'Exposition universelle de 1910. Il a fini par devenir le représentant du gouvernement pour cette exposition. Dans cette fonction, il a été honoré par cette médaille portrait, conçue par l'artiste belge Charles Samuel. Duke Robert d'Ursel succeeded his father as mayor of Hingene. He worked as a lawyer at the Ministry of the Interior.
